    Abstract
This research paper investigates the application of Lean Six Sigma in the Sri Lankan construction industry. The study aims to recognize the barriers to implementing Lean Six Sigma and propose strategies for successful implementation. There are several barriers to implementing Lean Six Sigma, including a deficiency of understanding, resistance to change, a lack of skills and resources, complex project environments, cultural aspects, and insufficient data management. A literature review and interviews with industry professionals are part of the methodology, which is followed by content analysis. The sample was selected by using the purposive sampling technique covering construction professionals such as Engineers, Architects, Quantity surveyors, Project Managers, and Executives in the construction sector. Overall, the paper provides a thorough overview of Lean Six Sigma, its potential benefits in the Sri Lankan construction sector, and the implementation challenges. It provides stakeholders with actionable recommendations to improve project performance and contribute to long-term economic growth in the Sri Lankan Construction Industry.
