dc.description.abstractBackground: The Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is an expanding global health problem. It considered as a chronic metabolic disease. It is a rapidly growing non communicable disease. According to World Health Organization (WHO) details about 422 million people have diabetes in worldwide.1.5 million deaths reported in each year due to diabetes. Glycaemic control is very important to control death and complications from diabetes. Mainly social, psychological and dietary factors are affected to control blood glucose level. Factors affecting glycaemic control among women with T2DM. We tried to identify dietary factors and psychological factors among women with T2DM in our study objectives. Methods: Quantitative approach, descriptive design. Data was collected from a random sample of 300 participants using self-administrated questionnaire. Results: Most T2DM patient age group is 60-65 (26%) than other groups, all the Tamil (8%), Muslim (14%) and Burger (2%) participants are suffering T2DM. all retired women suffer T2DM and daily (2%), 3-4 times per week (8%) starch rich food eaters and fast food 3-4 times per week (1%), twice a week (4%) eater are T2DM patients. Mean value of the psychological factors are close to the 1.01. Likert scale value 1 is minor problem level. All the participants of the study are not mention majority of psychological reason to the related T2DM. Conclusion: The study indicated common causes related glycaemic control among women with T2DM. Our findings can be used to reduce HbA1C level and prevent the T2DM adjust dietary pattern and personal life of patient. it will cause to quality life for women.en_US
