The	purpose	of	the	study	is	to	provide	&#13;
in-depth	 analysis	 to	 enhance	 the	 role	 of	 highperformance	work	practices	(HPWP)	and	reveal	&#13;
the	 association	 of	 these	 practices	 with	&#13;
employee’s	 innovative	 work	 behaviors	 (EIWP)	&#13;
Hospitality	industry	in	Colombo	district.	In	order	&#13;
to	meet	this	objective,	responses	were	gathered	&#13;
via	 a	 Google	 form	 survey	 questionnaire	 to	&#13;
measure the	impact	of	high-performance	work	&#13;
practices	 on	 employee	 innovative	 work	&#13;
behaviors.	 These	 hypotheses	 were	 tested	 with	&#13;
the	help	of	data	collected	through	questionnaire	&#13;
that	 were	 filled	 out	 by	 a	 sample	 of	 307	&#13;
employees	 hospitality	 industry	 in	 Colombo	&#13;
district.	 The	 data	 collected	 from	 employees	&#13;
verified	the	proposed	hypotheses	and	suggested	&#13;
that	 the	 underlying	 high-performance	 work	&#13;
practices	have	a	significant	positive	impact	on	&#13;
employees’	 innovative	 work	 behaviors	 (IWB).	&#13;
This	 study	 is	 important	 for	 enterprise	 in	 Sri	&#13;
Lanka	that	wants	to	increase	knowledge	among	&#13;
HR	 practices	 and	 employee	 about	 innovative	&#13;
behaviors,	their	relevance,	and	their	impact	on	&#13;
productivity.
