Paddy cultivating is one of the major sectors in Sri Lankan agriculture platform. Many farmers engaged in this field facing number of difficulties during phase of selling their harvest due to lack of store facilities and not meeting the expected paddy quality as required by government authorities. It is revealed that information and communication technology (ICT) based solution will be able to overcome these issues as it is practiced in agriculture sectors in developed countries. The Paddy Marketing Board of Sri Lanka has launched a website as an ICT based initiative in order to up lift the status of paddy farmers. However, the initiated ICT based action is not very popular among farmers due to lack of user-friendliness, infrastructure facilities and illiteracy of information technology. Considering the penetration of mobile phone usage in the country, we aim to address this lacking by providing a mobile phone based solution for harvest selling process in Sri Lanka. The aim of this research is to apply the mobile technology to assist the farmers in making decisions such as when to cultivate, what are best seeds and what is the best time to collect the harvest etc. The outcome of this study assists farmers to collect their harvest and sell it correct time, which increases the farmer’s profits in a positive manner.

Cyber Foraging is a technique introduced to utilize the computing resources in the vicinity to improve the performance and the standby of the portable mobile devices. There have been various attempts to enable Cyber Foraging in smartphones, and they require lots of developer effort to offload the work from the applications in the mobile device, where the developers are required to do lots of code modifications or additions. We introduce an annotation based approach to automate the work offloading in a Cyber Foraging system to a greater extent, which requires minimal developer workload, through flexible technique. This can be refined in the future and be automated using machine learning algorithms, reducing developer effort furthermore.

WebSocket protocol has become a sound technology in software industry for real-time web application development, since it provides bidirectional, full-duplex communication between client and server over a single connection. There are several concepts, techniques, and technologies such as frameworks and libraries for WebSocket based development. However, the knowledge existing regarding these concepts, techniques, and technologies is scattered, thus it is not easy to obtain the information required for a specific development environment. In this paper we analyse the literature, then discuss about the existing concepts, techniques, and technologies, available for WebSocket based development. The facts delivered in this paper can be utilized to reduce knowledge search time for engineering of WebSocket based applications, and it can help developers to easily find the needful for the implementation of WebSocket. The knowledge of this paper will be utilized in our ongoing research, towards design and development of a WebSocket server-tool, which will help in rapid development.

So in modern world the Uses of information technology have expanded from ordinary simple calculation using a computer to the advance concepts as artificial intelligence. Among these various aspects the information technology bind to the human lives, Education is one main sector that get the assistance of the information technology for various academic purposes from the aspect of the teachers, lecturers and also the students. So in modern class rooms, use of information technology and computers for academic related matters has become a common thing. Without doubt, it has become necessary to prepare new generation to be equipped with these ICT skills, But the challenge of today's modern classroom is deliver lesson content, and simultaneously monitoring all student PCs and work collaboratively while ensuring the complete student attention and focus is maintained at all time. So delivering lectures to the students in a computerized or information technology enabled environment has both positive and negative consequences. In order to mitigate theses negative consequences as failing to keep students attention on the lectures while delivering lecture in a computerized environment, developing a monitoring system for computerized environment is a precise solution. Therefore, the intension of the research was to develop an application called “class room management system (CRMS)” which assists for effective teaching and learning environment and for preventing discipline problems and misbehaviors. As the name implies it selves, CRMS is an network based software application totally provide the Management facilities for delivering lectures with other management facilities such as Screen Capturing ,Chat System ,Performance Monitoring, File Sharing ,Remote login , Attendance Marking, Screen Sharing and generating reports. The lecture and the students are the main users of this system and have been provided the privileges for the users according to their user role.
